The Plaza Theatre’s upcoming season

Head to the Plaza Theatre in Manalapan for an impressive selection of comedies, musicals, cabarets and lighter dramas. It’s fun for the whole family!

Tickets are $48 per person and $55 for opening Friday nights, which includes a cocktail reception. The theatre also offers subscriptions for the season, which make perfect holiday gifts! The talent for this upcoming season is seemingly endless and offers plenty of entertainment for any preference.

The Plaza Theatre Mainstage 2014-2015 Season is as follows:

  • Exceptions to Gravity – This internationally renowned performance starring Avner “The Eccentric” Eisenberg features miming, juggling, magic and comedy.

Show dates: Oct. 16-19, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. with Saturday and Sunday showings at 2 p.m., and Oct. 22 – Nov. 2 at 7:30 p.m. with Wednesday and Sunday showings at 2 p.m.

  • Forever Plaid – This play by Stuart Ross is about a high-school quartet destined for stardom, with a dramatic twist.

Show dates: Nov. 6-9 at 7:30 p.m. with Saturday and Sunday showings at 2 p.m., and Nov. 12–16 & 19-23 at 7:30 p.m. with Wednesday and Sunday showings at 2 p.m.

  • She Loves Me – A Tony Award-winning performance about romantic pen pals who are not as long-distance as they think.

Show dates: Dec. 4-21, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. with Wednesday and Sunday showings at 2 p.m. and December 26-28, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. with Saturday and Sunday showings at 2 p.m.

  • The Assembled Parties– A story by Richard Greenberg about a Jewish family who celebrates Christmas in New York’s Upper West Side over two decades.

Show dates: Jan. 15 – Feb. 8, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. with Wednesday and Sunday showings at 2 p.m.

  • Phantom – A first-rate take on The Phantom of the Opera where characters are developed even more than the original novel and ballads are just as enjoying. This is a must-see for everyone.

Show dates: Feb. 19 – March 22 at 7:30 p.m. with Wednesday and Sunday showings at 2 p.m.

  • That’s Ballroom! – Three couples compete for a spot on the Olympic Ballroom Dance Team in this captivating musical.

Show dates: April 9-12 & 2-15 at 7:30 p.m. with Saturday and Sunday showings at 2 p.m. and April 16-23 at 7:30 p.m. with Wednesday and Sunday showings at 2 p.m.
