The Palm Beach County Convention Center will be going to the dogs – along with the cats, birds and fish– when the Palm Beach Pet Expo rolls into town December 8-9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., just in time for the holidays. Santa may have the final say in who’s naughty or nice, but all well-mannered pets are invited to bring their families for all of the fun.
Santa Paws will be there in person to have pictures snapped with your furry friends. The Pet Expo is truly a creature feature with a little something for every pet as well as experts on hand to answer all your pet-related questions.
Make no bones about it – there will be lots of products, supplies and accessories to peruse puurtaining to pets including lots of loot to spoil your pets for the upcoming holidays. Exhibitors from all across the country will have hands-on attractions and vendor demonstrations.
“This is the one event that pet consumers can shop with and for their beloved pets,” said Troy Marchese, national sales manager for the Palm Beach Pet Expo.
The dogs won’t be the ones getting all the treats – families will enjoy stage appearances by Muttville Comix, featured on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “Primetime Live” and Circus of the Stars. Other engagements have included Disneyland, the Big Apple Circus, the Royal Hanneford Circus, and even the White House.
“Johnny Peers and the Muttville Comix is a slapstick comedy act like no other,” Marchese said. “Johnny leads over a dozen dogs through challenging and hilarious tricks as Johnny plays the straight man role in this wonderful show.”
Most of the pawformers are dogs that have been rescued from shelters and pounds.
There will also be costume and pet trick contests, along with a unique competition brought in by the Doggie Fun Zone that has dogs chasing a fast-moving lure through a multi-dynamic motivated obstacle course.
